A typical residential exposed aggregate driveway takes about 3–5 working days from excavation and preparation through to pouring, exposing, washing and sealing. You can usually walk on it after 24–48 hours, but keep vehicles off for at least 7 days unless we give you a different site-specific timeframe. Larger areas, difficult access, rain or extra drainage work can extend the schedule.

Usually, yes—allow roughly one additional working day. Exposed aggregate is still concrete, but after the pour the surface must be exposed and washed at the right time, then allowed to dry before sealing. A straightforward plain driveway often takes 2–4 working days, while exposed aggregate commonly takes 3–5 working days. Both still need curing time before vehicle use.
